Tal: His Marvelous Adventures with Noom-Zor-Noom is a novel by Paul Fenimore Cooper, illustrated by Ruth Reeves. It was first published in 1929, again in 1957, and most recently in 2001 by Purple House Press. Tal is the story of a little orphan who goes on a quest to the land of Troom with a wise story teller and his talking donkey.
The book, in large part, consists of the stories that Noom-Zor-Noom tells Tal on their way to Troom. It has been compared favorably to The Wizard of Oz, as it has a similar journey plot.[1]
